On Friday October 17th, 2014 the band Bastille made their way to U.S. Bank Arena to perform for hundreds. This crowd was made up mostly of teenage girls screaming their hearts out for the band but they were a few adults as well. The English band was formed by Dan Smith, the lead singer. The other members are Chris Wood, William Farquarson, and Kyle Simmons. The band opened with The Weight of Living, and then played Pompeii, Blame, Oblivion, Flaws, Bad Blood, Icarus, and more. U.S. Bank Arena was the perfect venue for this event. The numerous seating areas and different levels made seeing the stage easy. Dan Smith took advantage of the stairs and levels and made his way to almost every section to dance with the fans.
“Yes I did like Bastille. They had good stage presence and they played a lot of their songs. It was really fun and entertaining.” Emily Hunter Class of 2017
“I loved them, they had really good energy on stage and interacted with the fans a lot!” Grace Dearing Class of 2017
