At freshman orientation we were told to “get an extra ten minutes of sleep rather than spend it on your hair.” At the time most of the incoming freshman were unaware of how important this advice would be. As the first quarter is coming to a close you can see how almost all of the freshman have adjusted to this lifestyle.
I know that I have cut down the time it takes me to get ready for school in about 10 minutes and I thank God everyday for that extra sleep I am able to get. Going to an all girl school definitely has it perks.
Some of these perks include super messy hair that absolutely no thought was put into, and no time spent on makeup in the morning because nobody cares what you look like at 7:50 AM.
Sara Ruberg ‘18 says a perk of going to an all girl school is, “Having a pimple and not worrying about it.” Emma Bley ‘15 lists the perks of going to Mercy that she enjoys, “Not brushing your hair, no shave November— actually not any month of the year, and rolling out of bed with your polo on.”
