Today, November 20th, two members of CHAVERIM M’ISRAEL, or friends from Israel, came to our school. Every year, students look forward to their arrival because of the culture, dancing, and food. And this year didn’t disappoint. Tal Meydan and Natan Garfinkle were selected to be a part of the program this year, which includes traveling across the U.S. The two did a terrfiifc job running a Jeopardy game and teaching us two traditional Israeli dances. They were also supervised by Sharon Spiegel, who is administrator for the CHAVERIM M’ISRAEL. Sharon took half of us out in the hallway at a time to teach how to make Humus. She was a great instructor and a even better cook, the Humus was fabulous! There’s pictures below of some of the fun and Mercy can’t wait to have them back next year.
