Festival in India

I’m sure most Snapchat users were plagued yesterday, by continuous updates from, “Kite Festival in India” one of the stories that Snapchat enables all users to view.
Gujarat, a state in India, is where these pictures were taken. Most of the major cities in Gujarat were celebrating Makar Sankrant, a two day event dedicated to their Lord Surya. The first day of this festival is called Uttarayan or Uttarayana. The second day is called Vasi Uttarayan, which means stale Uttarayan. The most popular activity during this festival is kite flying.
