The annual tradition of the Raffle has finally come to a close. As part of the tradition, the winning class as well as the top homerooms of each grade went to the zoo. This year, the seniors won and the other top homerooms included 11B, 10D, and 9C. The competition between the junior and senior class this year was really close. In fact, many of the seniors were convinced that the Class of 2015 would be the first senior class to lose the Raffle. However, the seniors pulled through with $101.90 per girl and the juniors were close behind with $96.03 per girl.

The Zoo Day on April 20th, 2015 was a fun-filled day of celebrating the Raffle achievements. Surprisingly, the animals were more alert when we were there earlier in the morning. Unfortunately, the weather for the Zoo Day was not as sunny as we hoped for and there was a huge downpour around 11:30. Other than the sudden onset of the rain for around 20 minutes, the weather stayed free of rain-although it was overcast for most of the day. Another perk of the Zoo Day is getting out of school early! The students who went to the zoo got out of school at 1:00 while the rest of school was still in session.
