This past Friday class ended at 12:10 and the Raffle festivities began. When classes let out the first thing students did was rush to the lunch room. The result was a major traffic jam, and the line to get to the delicious JTM food went all the way up to the third floor. Once everyone filled up their plates with pulled pork, macaroni, chips, and a dessert of their choice, we all sat outside. Everyone had the chance to enjoy their meal outside with the great weather and their fellow classmates.
Everyone had a blast outside, everywhere you looked you could see students stuffing their faces and or laughing hysterically. While outside freshman saluted their food and took in their first Raffle experience. Sophomores on the other hand made flower crowns and goofed off. The crowns turned out pretty great. Juniors and Seniors debated on which class was headed to the zoo. The lunch seemed to all to be a huge success.
After everyone had eaten all their food and there was time left before the assembly the Juniors/Sophomores decided to challenge the Freshman to a game of kickball. The eager freshman agreed and the game was off to a start. The freshman started off the game kicking and scored multiples run, only making two outs before having to play outfield. The Juniors/Sophomores were next to kick and the first two balls kicked were caught. Since they were older they got more out, so they were still in it. Junior, Heather Runk then went up to bat and scored a run for them. However the next kicker got the third out. The game went back and forth like this for 3 or 4 innings until everyone was called in for the assembly. The Freshman had the lead at that point and won the game, though if you ask a Junior or Sophomore they claim they did.
