Mercy’s volleyball team is determined to win a state title this year. With an overall record of 15-6 (not including tournament wins), they are all prepared for a battle. Winning the first tournament game against Lakota West, they advanced in play. Recently playing Monday night (October 26), and crushing the Seton Saints, Mercy now plays Saturday October 31 at 12:30. Mercy’s next big opponent is Lakota East. Lakota has an advantage because Saturday’s game is at their home court. The Bobcats played East the first game of the season, and won, but it wasn’t easy. Mercy took East to a 5 game match, and the outcome was worth it. As the season carried on, both teams have gotten better. If/when Mercy wins, the team will win a District champion title, which hasn’t been won since 2011.
We wish the team the best of luck, and hope they claim the District and State titles! Go Bobcats!
